Welcome to the Freediving Science Wiki

This is a curated collection of scientific papers related to freediving physiology, safety, and performance.

For a list of all the papers, please visit the tags page.

My name is Ioannis Aliazis, I am a freediving instructor, my school is Free Flow Freediving.

Some years ago, I set up the Freediving Science Facebook group to get people talking about the science behind freediving.

Since then, I have collected these papers over the years out of curiosity and interest.

If you have any comments or suggestions for improvement, if you want to submit your paper etc please feel free to contact me.

The summaries have been written using ChatGPT so bear in mind that there might be errors.

If you are one of the authors and would like your paper to not be hosted here, please contact me and I will remove it.

DISCLAIMER: I do not aim to breach any copyright or have any direct financial gain by offering the content on this website.

My goal for this website is to have is as a reference point for research and education around freediving, free for all to use.
